Voor Keti Koti Junior ontwikkelde en gaf ik in 2024 en 2025 twee lessenreeksen in opdracht van Noordje en het Wereldmuseum, uitgevoerd op verschillende basisscholen in Amsterdam-Noord.

In 2024 stond het thema creatief verzet: toen en nu centraal. Leerlingen onderzochten hoe tot slaaf gemaakte mensen zich verzetten en hoe kunstenaars dat vandaag de dag doen. Vervolgens ontwierpen zij een eigen ‘tentoonstellingsruimte’ in een kartonnen doos, waarin beeld, tekst en persoonlijke statements samenkwamen. Alle werken vormden samen één groot collectief kunstwerk: een zelfgemaakt museum over verzet

Keti Koti Junior 2025

In 2025 was het thema veerkracht. Vanuit de mythe van Drexciya en inspiratiebronnen als het werk van Ellen Gallagher maakten leerlingen een persoonlijk textielwerk. In deze kleine wandkleden verbeeldden zij hun eigen ideeën over kracht, overleven en hoop, met gebruik van stof, draad en symboliek.

Beide projecten combineren historische context met verbeelding en persoonlijke betekenisgeving, en laten zien hoe kunst kan bijdragen aan bewustwording, gesprek en eigenaarschap bij leerlingen.
