Voor Gangmakers Ontwerplab, een programma van The Beach, ontwikkelde en gaf ik een lessenreeks van negen weken, afgesloten met een expositie in les tien.

Gangmakers richt zich op kinderen van 8 tot 12 jaar en laat hen kennismaken met ontwerpen en maken vanuit hun eigen belevingswereld. In de workshops werkten de kinderen aan thema’s die zij zelf belangrijk vinden. Ze onderzochten ideeën, experimenteerden met verschillende materialen en vertaalden deze naar eigen beeldverhalen.

Tijdens het traject ontwikkelden zij verschillende vaardigheden, zoals verhalen schrijven, letterontwerpen, character design, collages en pop-up maken en lino snijden en afdrukken.

De reeks werd afgesloten met een presentatie van het werk, waarin de kinderen hun ontwerpen en ideeën deelden met publiek.
